Backpacks

We stock a wide variety of backpacks, from full expedition size packs to small day packs and book bags. As with most outdoor gear, quality and durability are a must, so we carry premium brands like Osprey, Marmot, Mountainsmith, Hyperlite and Mountain Hardwear. We also carry a wide range of pack accessories and small cases for cameras, binoculars and phones.

Tents and Sleeping Bags

We carry an assortment of single and two person three season backpacking tents by Marmot, MSR and Mountainsmith. We also carry mens and womens synthetic and down mummy sleeping bags, rated 15 degrees, by Marmot.

Camp Stoves

We carry several backpacking single burner stoves by MSR and Jet Boil. These are liquid fuel stoves ( white gas or multifuel), canister stoves (isobutane/propane & butane mix) and the Jetboil pot/stove systems. We also carry small folding solid fuel stoves and alcohol stoves.

Cookware and Kitchen Accessories

We have a very wide variety of the latest cookware, pots sets, fry pans, cups, bowls, etc. on the market, as well as cutlery, collapsible vessels, insulated mugs, thermoses, coffee presses and espresso makers. And we know how valuable those little items can be in the backcountry that make life easier and more fun and we are bulging from the shelves with them: salt shakers, cutting boards, match holders, wind screens, sporks, pot grippers, wine glasses, flasks, travel bottles, soft coolers and more.

Water Sports

We have a wide variety of dry bags, dry boxes, and packs as well as water proof map cases, electronic cases and tech cases. We carry neoprene booties and gloves, water sports ear plugs and nose plugs as well as throw bags, webbing and carabiners, cam buckle straps and eyewear retainers. We can also custom order larger items like life jackets, paddles, etc.

Packrafting

Along with the water sports gear, we carry some essentials for Packrafters. Don’t float without the lightweight Patch n Go repair kits, made for quick field repairs. We also have a selection of Hyperlite ultralight drybag backpacks, and can custom order any Hyperlite ultralight gear. Packrafters in Alaska will also love our Glacier Gloves, fleece lined waterproof neoprene gloves and Sealskinz socks, waterproof and insulating.

River Crossing Waders By Wiggys

Ideal for the numerous river crossings to be encountered in the Park, Wiggy’s Waders are lightweight, weighing in at only 8.9oz. Made from 200-denier coated oxford nylon for the uppers and a rubberized sole for traction, these waders will keep you dry. Just slide the waders on over your boots, pull the drawstring tight and wade on into that water!! Also Sealskinz socks are great for river crossings and hiking in wet and/or cold conditions.

Fishing

We wouldn’t be an outdoor store in Alaska if we didn’t cover the fishing end of things! We carry fly fishing and spin casting rods and reels. Most are rod and reel combos that come ready to fish. We stock most accessories and supplies from hooks, lures, spinners, locally tied flies, floatant, line and sinkers to filet knives, lure and fly boxes, nets and snips. We sell Alaska fishing licenses and have free state regulation booklets for all of Alaska.

Eyewear

We stock a sweet selection of cool and functional sunglasses by Smith Optics, Suncloud and Native Eyewear. Most of these are polarized and made for active lifestyles, with plastic or glass tech lenses, some models include interchangeable lenses. We also, of course, carry a nice selection of eyewear retainers.

Binoculars

We carry some of the finest optics made in our Nikon Binoculars. We have full size or compact models as well as fully waterproof/ fog proof or lesser expensive base models. All are Nikon quality and come with the full Nikon warranty.

Bear Proof containers

We carry Bear Vault brand bear barrels and Ursack bear resistant bags for safely in the backcountry. Both are approved for use in Denali by the National Park Service.

Biking

We carry an assortment of bike tire tubes in many sizes with both Presta and Schrader valves.We also carry tube repair kits, biking gloves, a repair tool and small tire pumps.

Climbing

We carry a limited amount of climbing gear: ice axes, climbing harnesses, a large assortment of carabiners, chalk, webbing, several sizes of high strength accessory cord sold by the foot, figure 8’s and sometimes other descending devices. Other climbing equipment can be special ordered at any time.

Repair

We carry a wide variety of repair items for all sorts of gear and gear failures! From bulk webbing, straps, buckles and accessory cord to adhesives, repair tapes and Aquaseal to tent pole splints, tools, stuff sacks and full repair kits, we’ve got what it takes to keep you on the water or moving down the trail.
